It's no secret that today 80% of all industrial products in the world are labeled “Made in China”. And motoblocks are no exception. The warranty of the Chinese walk-behind tractor is often determined not only by production and spare parts, but also by the way the walk-behind tractor owners use it. The number of “surprises” that are possible after a purchase may include less power than stated and the absence of additional components. Of course, this is widely used for inexpensive companies, but even an impressive price is not always a guarantee of quality.

What are Chinese motoblocks

Chinese walk-behind tractors are powerful agricultural machinery. They look like a two-wheeled tractor and are controlled with the help of handles, for which a person holds and drives the car forward. Considered very maneuverable, a wide range of attachments can be attached to them.

Chinese motoblocks are:

  • light and heavy, from 3.5 hp up to 9 hp for processing plots from 15 acres to 5 hectares;
  • with the ability to install a soil cutter, trailer or mowing machine;
  • with gasoline and diesel engine.

Main advantages:

  1. Motor-blocks are small and light, with low oil consumption, high efficiency and good stability.
  2. Easy to operate, suitable for working in narrow, harsh lands, rice fields, orchards and greenhouses.
  3. In accordance with various user requirements, they can also be used for rotational planting, shallow and deep plowing, transplanting in rice fields, loosening the soil, spraying, watering and dehydrating, sowing and researching more land when assembling the corresponding equipment or tool.

How the Chinese are copying Russian motoblocks

Chinese manufacturers have been duplicating a wide variety of products for several years. From American and Italian brands, they got to Russian motoblocks. It is surprising and pleasant that our domestic production of agricultural machinery has become one of the best of its kind.

Copies were discovered at the international exhibition of construction tools and equipment Mitex in 2017. Chinese companies presented several models similar to the Russian “Favorite”, “Tarpan”, “Master”. In fact, they made copies of obsolete walk-behind blocks, but at a lower price. The same “Salute” at the time of the exhibition had better technical characteristics. Naturally, the engines were installed in China. Another reason for the low price in some models is the installation of 3 cutter knives, instead of the 4 ones.

Is it worth buying Chinese motor blocks

Despite the tempting low price, before buying a Chinese walk-behind tractor it is worthwhile to carefully analyze its shortcomings. The more expensive Chinese-made models are slightly better in quality, but still require serious improvements.
  1. The main export of motoblocks from China is made to Ukraine, Russia and Asian countries. This fact alone suggests that economically developed countries are purchasing better quality goods, and China is offering Russia a second-rate option.
  2. Cheap parts, low-quality assembly present a surprise in the form of breakdowns on a short life. Made for work with the ground, they do not withstand heavy loads and fail.
  3. Common malfunctions include a short service life of the rings on the piston and the crankshaft journals, the rapid erasure of the teeth of the worm gear, the output of the ring gear from the engine flywheel, and the failure of the starter. In this case, repair of breakdowns will come out expensive.
  4. Metal weakness, which often causes the lower gear shaft to fall apart. Accordingly, the metal parts of the engine, frame and attachments are also not very durable.

Chinese motoblocks have recently become popular in the Russian market due to the low price category. But, unfortunately, there are few satisfied customers among them because of the quick and frequent breakdowns of the car.Before buying, correlate the estimated amount of work and the useful life with the possible risks of breakdowns and future costs.
