For many decades, not a single house is complete without an iron. Keeping pace with the times, manufacturers are improving and fine-tuning models to meet the needs of consumers. Irons have come a long way from evolution from a coal heavyweight to modern irons with a vertical garment steamer. Not so long ago, vertical-steaming irons have earned the recognition of many housewives. What is so special about them?

What is vertical steaming?

The principle of operation of the device is quite simple. Water poured into a special container is heated to a certain temperature. When the evaporation process begins, through special openings in the sole of the iron, excess steam is released independently, and when a button is pressed, a steam boost occurs.

The whole charm of steam ironing is that you can work even with the most capricious and finest fabrics without fear of damaging them. Steam acts very gently on fibers, unlike a hot sole.

The predecessor of these models could only produce steam in a horizontal position. It was very convenient. Steam boost helped to smooth out strong creases on clothes, facilitated ironing at times.

Modern models have received the function of not only horizontal, but also vertical steaming. In fact, the principle of operation does not change - pour water, wait for heating and start ironing. But with modern models, you no longer need an ironing board, and everything is done much faster.
