Miniature monitors used to be considered exotic, but now their popularity is growing rapidly, as people are increasingly switching to mobile gadgets. Today, a portable monitor has become a versatile tool that works equally well with both a smartphone and a desktop PC. ASUS took all these points into account and presented at the Computex 2019 exhibition the latest USB monitor whose matrix operates at a frequency of 240 Hz. The model is called the ROG Strix XG17. The manufacturer positions it as a gaming one.

The diagonal of the monitor is 17.3 inches, the resolution is 1920 by 1080 pixels. The response frequency is 3 ms. The same matrix is used on Hero III laptops, but the portable monitor has a higher operating frequency. The device is equipped with built-in stereo speakers and a battery. For convenience, there is also a cover-stand with a magnet. The battery can work for 3 hours. And you can charge it both via the USB port, and using the Quick Charge 3 wireless technology. You can connect the monitor to any gadget - to a smartphone, laptop or game console.
