Two companies that do not need to be introduced this week announced that they intend to start producing furniture with integrated modern technology. In the near future, a new table with the function of wireless charging of gadgets will be demonstrated to users.
The table design is developed by IKEA specialists, and the technological part is carried out by Xiaomi. The principle of wireless charging of mobile devices is the interaction of two induction coils. One of them is connected to the network, the second is built into the smartphone or tablet. The first is a source of energy, the second is a receiver. When the first coil is connected to the network, a magnetic field appears around it. If a smartphone with a receiver coil is in this field, a current appears in it and the gadget is charging. But for this, it should be brought to the charger at a distance of 4-5 cm. This principle is implemented in the new table from IKEA and Xiaomi, and it will be possible to charge smartphones anywhere on the tabletop. The price of the new table is not yet known.
