A feature has appeared in the popular WhatsArr messenger that allows the user to turn off notifications from group chats. The developers were forced to add this option, because users have repeatedly complained that they are not satisfied with the organization of a group discussion in the messenger. However, they did not want to leave group chats so that it was visible to everyone present.

As a result, the function “Ignore archive chats” appeared. By activating it, the user will remain in the group, but will not receive notifications of new messages.

According to 9to5Google, before any user actions in the chat led to its “unarchiving”, and the flow of notifications received by it resumed. Now this option is excluded. In addition, Now WhatsArr users will be able to control their addition to certain chats. You can configure it in the "Groups" section. There, the user is invited to choose who can add it to the group discussion. Three options: "All", "Only contacts" and "Nobody."
