Maxim Akimov, who is Russia's Deputy Prime Minister, told RBC reporters about immature and hasty decisions by Roskomnadzor to block Telegram in the vastness of the Russian Federation. The task at the moment was a failure, because the messenger continues to work.

Akimov believes that the ILV applied completely ineffective technical methods for resolving the issue. For this reason, lock Telegram so far failed. In this case, the Deputy Prime Minister expects to solve the problem using another scenario. Akimov also expresses confidence that foreign companies will nevertheless store personal information about Russians in the territory of the Russian Federation. The state will try to achieve this in the near future.
