Jane Wong is a mobile app expert. In her microblog on Twitter, she posted several screenshots. It follows from them that Instagram may soon stop displaying the number of likes left by users under posts. They will be visible only to the author of the publication. According to Jane, this will help subscribers to concentrate on what the blogger shared with them, and not how many likes his publication collected.

And in an interview with TechCrunch, an Instagram spokesperson said that the new design and the ability to disable likes under posts is only an internal prototype, and it will not be presented to the public. According to the employee, at the moment the social network is not testing such an opportunity, however, experts have long been concerned about the problem of reducing pressure on users.

If a new function does appear, it will have a big impact on the overall functionality of the social network. Because now Instagram is encouraging users to upload content specifically for a large number of likes.
